Bug Buddy crashes while reporting a bug to Bugzilla

Submitted by aravind on Tue, 12/04/2007 - 16:00

I was having some problems with Evolution Exchange and was encountering a reproducible crash. So I went ahead and filed a bug report to GNOME Bugzilla using Bug Buddy. This is what I saw when I hit the send button.

A screen shot of bug buddy crash

How funny is this and I wonder where I can report a bug for Bug Buddy.

Update: I found out the GNOME bugzilla was down or had some problems which led to that.

I was very excited about the latest and the greatest of Fedora 8 which included the latest GNOME that is 2.20.1. One of the features of GNOME which I was excited about was Evince, the document viewer, which now supports interactive PDF forms.

Evolution and GPG

Submitted by aravind on Wed, 09/19/2007 - 23:41

I usually sign my messages which are sent using my e-mail client Evolution. When you have gpg (GNU Privacy Guard) installed you can make Evolution sign all the outgoing messages from an account by following a few simple steps. First you need to install gpg and have it configured properly. Then edit the e-mail account in Evolution from which you need to send signed messages.

GParted is partition editor software for Gnome which is similar to PartitionMagic. GParted has a very simple and intutive user interface. One can click on the partition and resize it by just dragging the resize bar. A couple of information sections are available.
